TCP/IP Setting Manual 

In this section, you are assumed to have correctly identified the IP address for the Online Learning System Server. Therefore, you must produce a manual on how to configure the IP address on the server. You can use any operating system to demonstrate this task. The explanation should be supported with the screenshot and appropriate explanation.

Firstly, click on the search button then write “Control Panel”, and click on it.

Secondly, this is the window of the Control Panel, click “Network and Internet”.

Thirdly, after you click on Network and Internet it will take you to this page and you have to click on “Network and Sharing Center”.

Fourthly, in the top right of the page, you will find the Wi-Fi name that you are connecting with your device, double click on your Wi-Fi name.

Fifthly, you will get this small window and end of it you will see 3 options, (Properties, Disable, and Diagnose), Click on the “Properties” button.

Sixthly, you will see inside the small square “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)”, click on it.

Seventhly, after you access the (TCP/IPv4), you will get 2 options, “obtain an IP address automatically and Use the following IP address”, click on the second option “Use the following IP address” to set your IP address manually.

Lastly, as you can see in the end you can set the right IP address, Subnet mask, default gateway, and DNC. Then click on the “OK” button to enforce this setting.

• Able to identify the IP address of our device
• Fully understand on how to do subnetting calculation.
• Able to identify and understand how data is travelled from the first layer till the last year.
• We get new experience as we did the project since it was covered the subject almost.
• We also gets the knowledge on the process of data transferring.
